The founding has become a better place to live and has created a more democratic society. However, violence is an unavoidable thing and occurs in almost every corner of the earth. Gender related violence and sexual abuse are the most demoralizing issue nowadays. Looking at the current issues, I agree with the foreplay given that is in spite of the important development of the subsist century toward a more democratic society, women today are unresolved to a gender-related violence and sexual abuse to a much higher degree than men. Gender violence does knock in both sexes but the cases on violence against women outnumbered mannish cases. The significant reason why this happens is because of gender inequality which subsequently leads to discrimination in gender role, sexual harassment and domestic violence involving women.
Gender is the social and corporal traits associated with masculinity and femininity (Popenoe, 2000, p.296).
